
In 1939 a new street was formed off the east side of Stirling Road just to the north of Coupar’s Rosebank Foundry. The building of council houses was halted during the war but resumed in 1950. A small playground was created to the east of Allan Crescent with the Anchor Burn on its north and the Ingliston Branch Railway line on its east. A chute, a bench and a paddling pool were installed towards the end of the summer in 1950.
