BALLENBRIECH

According to the Second Statistical Account of 1841 there were ruins traditionally said to be of a “Popish Chapel at Ballenbriech”.

BETHESDA HALL

1922:  A marquee erected on City Hill, Maddiston, for the evangelist Joseph Strain.  Thereafter meetings held in Templar’s Hall.

1950-2: Bethesda Hall built on the site of the original tent.
