This park is mentioned in the 1940s as the venue for some of the village’s football teams but its whereabouts is uncertain. According to Waugh it was first mentioned in 1935 and had swings and a chute installed in 1936. It was probably in the area subsumed by the council housing scheme of the 1950s and at that time a search was made for a new site, eventually settling upon Blinkbonny Park.
