SMR 2360 / NS 97180 77997
The enclosure is apparent as cropmarks visible on oblique aerial photographs by the RCAHMS.
It lies on a prominent sandy hillock in rolling arable farmland at around 40m OD.
The enclosure is surrounded by a ditch up to about 2.5m in width and is not a palisaded enclosure. It is sub-circular being some 20m in diameter. A darker patch inside may indicate the remains of a former domestic structure.
