Bankier School was designed by the Stirling County Council Architects and constructed over 1964-65. It was set in the remnant designed landscape of Bankier House amid trees of the old estate. It was typical if the period with flat roofs set on dark brown brick walls having stained timber fascias and bright blue panel inserts. It was officially opened on 20 April 1965 with R J Mackay as its first head teacher. The school still provides education from nursery to primary 7. An extension was added c1980.
