Little is known about Carronbank School which only operated for a few years around 1860. The ordnance Surveyors of that date tell us that:
“CARRONBANK SCHOOL This school is situated in the village of Denny and is two storeys in height, slated and of recent erection. The usual branches of education are taught, together with music, millinery, etc.”
