Wallacestone Primary School

Plans were submitted for a new primary school at Braemar Gardens in 1961 by the Central Regional Council Education Department and the school opened in October 1964.  It was dominated by a flat-roofed two-storey block with a steel frame and blue panelled sections.

An extension in buff-coloured brick was added to the south-east in the 1996/97 and a further extension to the west in around twenty years later.
