Two mid-late Victorian sundials in the grounds of Eriden House on Arnothill to the west of Falkirk town centre illustrate how the sundial came back into fashion for the new villas being built at this time. They also show the taste for increased ornamentation and Classical forms. They were probable produced on a large scale to standard patterns and transported throughout Britain on the railway network.
They were recorded in 1984 shortly before the residential development of the curtilege of the large villa and their whereabouts now is not known.
