Throughout the 1920s and 1930s J G Callendar designed and oversaw the construction of many of the houses and bungalows on the north side of Camelon Road between Westbank and Arnotdale giving us the affluent-looking entrance to the town from the west.
The villa at Cleveleys was typical of the dwellings in this area and has the characteristic banded pilaster on the front corners. It was extended to the rear in 1934.
