SMR 228 / NS 9542 7862
This palisaded enclosure, oval in shape, is clearly seen on oblique aerial photographs held by the RCAHMS. It is similar to such nearby enclosures at Lathallan (SMR 1095) and Myrehead (SMR 714), being aligned roughly west-eat and 60m in length.
The south side of the enclosure was removed during the construction of the slipway for the M9 motorway, but the site was deliberately excluded from the adjacent “landfill” facility.
